2019 FALL-ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING

This requisition reflects potential co-op/intern openings for the Fall 2019 Session (August - December). This is a general job description and represents multiple openings in various departments. College students must apply to this requisition to indicate their interest. 
 
ELECTRICAL DESIGN
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Assisting design engineers in developing / designing automotive electrical wire harness and components of future models. Supporting the creation of drawings. Activities will include CAD design, creating Excel spreadsheets and Powerpoint documents, cost & weight calculations, attending meetings and working with other design/test groups, suppliers, manufacturing, etc.
 
ELECTRICAL RESEARCH
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Supporting the development of testing automotive electrical systems (infotainment, chassis, engine, power window, sunroof, power tailgate, powerslide door systems and safety systems). This would include assisting with problem and data analysis, countermeasures, test set-up, data acquisition, test monitoring and recording activities. Additional projects could include performance testing and reporting results.
 
Sessions are offered throughout the year in the Spring, Summer, and Fall.
Flexible work sessions - 3 month minimum length (6 month preferred).
Relocation/Housing Assistance (residence must be more than 75 miles away).

Requirements:
Currently pursuing a four year degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering or like major (Freshman Year Completed).
Possess a minimum GPA of 3.0 or above.
Proficient PC Skills, including but not limited to Excel, PowerPoint, MATLAB/LABVIEW, and database management.
Excellent communication/interpersonal skills required.
Completed statics, dynamics, mechanics of materials, drafting, 3D CAD (Preferably CATIA).
Ability to travel and work overtime may be required.
Involvement with the Mini-Baja/Formula SAE/etc. and CAD design experience a plus.
