Quality Engineer Intern

Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense is seeking talented college students to join our summer 2020 internship program! Our 12-week program at our facility in Moorpark, CA. is designed to provide real-world and hands-on experience in areas that interest you! As an intern, you will collaborate with industry experts to solve real-world challenges and change the way we do business.
Interns will work within our Continuous Improvement or Quality teams in support of all aspects of manufacturing. Interns will have an opportunity to learn and support lean manufacturing standards including process flow, kaizen and Six Sigma techniques. The primary responsibility of this position will be supporting work will include data collection and interpretation, root cause analysis and corrective action implementation, and process defect identification and reduction.

Qualified candidates will be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program with a minimum of Junior standing at the time of application, preferably in Engineering, Operational Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or other related field.
Successful candidates will be self-starters who can work with cross functional teams in a fast-paced environment. Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards for quality and documentation is a must in all internship positions. These positions will require the ability to communicate effectively across a variety of departments.
This is a 12-week, full-time, paid internship position with housing support. In addition, students attending universities outside the internship location may be eligible for travel reimbursement.
