Alto Section Leader @ St. Margaret's Episcopal Church
The Choir of St. Margaret's Episcopal Church seeks an alto section leader/soloist. From the Sunday following Labor Day through Trinity Sunday, the choir sings for the weekly 10:30 a.m. Eucharist on Sunday mornings, rehearsing from 8:30 a.m.-10:15 a.m., and from 7:30 p.m.-9:00 p.m., on Thursdays prior to Christmas and Easter. Additional calls include quarterly services of Choral Evensong, Christmas Eve, and Holy Week services. The fee is $125 per call.
Qualified candidates will have experience as both a choral singer and vocal soloist (oratorio, Gospel, contemporary), sight read extremely well, learn their notes outside of rehearsal, receive direction well, be sympathetic to the ethos of our worshiping community, and have a cheerful disposition.
