Role
Summary/Purpose: |
The
Associate Intern will assist the GE Ventures team on a project evaluating
investment opportunities in a specific sector of Advanced Manufacturing. By
the end of the 10 week internship, the individual will have developed an
understanding of potential investment opportunities associated with the
sector, and will have summarized the project in a document and presentation
for the GE Ventures team. |

Essential
Responsibilities: |
•
Conduct research on 1-2 key areas of potential investment |
•
Assist in screening investment opportunities |
•
Prepare investment committee pitches for potential deals and help present to
senior GE Ventures management |
•
Participate in deal due diligence & closing |
•
Develop and evaluate financial models for potential investments |
•
Develop diligence data requests and help manage diligence process with target
company management |
•
Facilitate negotiation of deal documentation |

Qualifications/Requirements: |
•
Bachelor's degree |

Pursuing Master's degree |
•
Demonstrated ability to conduct market analysis with the ability to translate
the results into effective communication tools (presentations, pitches) . |
•
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
and Outlook |

Desired
Characteristics: |
•
Educational background in engineering, physical sciences, or other relevant
field |
•
Experience in venture capital, private equity or in investment banking,
software or experience within a manufacturing organization preferred |
•
Working knowledge of Finance and Valuation concepts |
•
Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter |
•
Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail |
