SKILLION Job Description – Electronics Engineer Intern
This is a Full time position for the Winter Break then part-time hours (20hrs/wk) once Spring studies start.
Skillion Inc is a pioneering StartUp developing technology for the ebike and bicycle market. Our operation is based in the Ben Franklin Technology Partners facility located on the Lehigh University campus.

Skillion’s revolutionary technology includes an IoT device for ebikes - the Connected Dashboard that uses the Skillion Ride System (SRS).

Electronics Engineer Intern Job Responsibilities:
We are currently seeking a capable and experienced Electronics Engineer Undergraduate to join our team. We're looking for people who can take full responsibility for:
·      Design and build of the cost reduced tracking only capability on MVP1 SRS Hardware
·      Design and build of MVP2 features on MVP1 SRS Hardware
·      Design and build the electronics for our prototypes
·      Develop and maintain the electronics environment for all of Skillion’s products
·      Contribute to the electronics specifications for SRS hardware MVP2, MVP3 and MVP4
·      Contribute to electronics design needs of the team on all Skillion’s projects

We are seeking an electrical engineer with a solid work ethic, talent, and common sense. They will work independently in their field while collaborating with software and mechanical engineers on projects. This position reports to the CEO and plays a key role within the company.

Electronics Engineer Intern Job Duties:
  • Compiling electronics design documentation in accordance with the requirements
  • Preparing design specifications for electronics hardware
  • Designing and building electronics hardware along with ordering and tracking parts
  • Preparing and running the test program on the electronics hardware
  • Developing and maintaining the electronics design environment
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Electronics Engineer Intern Skills and Qualifications:
You are part way through an Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics Engineering degree or similar.
You are skilled in Requirements Analysis, Electronics Design Skills, Hands-on building of electronics devices skills, Soldering skills, Schematic design and PCB layout, motor control electronics, familiar with electronics design tools such as Altium or KiCAD, SPICE and others in common use. Working with a team of mechanical and electronics developers, excellent communication essential. A background in Android Phone hardware and electronic motor control is desirable. A background as an electronics “hobbyist” is highly desirable.
