Management Analyst I - Non-Merit

Under general supervision, performs professional fiscal, administrative, and analytical duties. Performs Tobacco Enforcement duties such as compliance checks in tobacco retail outlets and attends hearings. 
  • Assists with payroll functions. Monitors and tracks expenditures, data collection and entry, and monitors fines collected. Maintains spreadsheets.
  • Facilitates the procurement of goods, services, supplies, and equipment. Prepares purchase requests and monitors receipt of goods and invoices. Maintains automated purchasing and financial systems. 
  • Participates in Tobacco Enforcement Program activities conducting compliance checks at licensed tobacco retail locations. Observes attempted tobacco transactions and issues citations to retailers that violate youth access laws, Provides education and instruction to retailers. Testifies at administrative hearings for citations issued.
  • Participates in special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree, preferably in business administration, public administration, economics, or a related field. (Experience involving the analysis and evaluation of budgets, systems, policies and procedures, organizations, and programs may be substituted on a year-for-year basis up to a maximum of four years for the required education.)
