Facilities/Construction Management/Engineering Internship
Technology & Operations plays an essential role in the company’s success by ensuring the delivery of high quality, scalable, cost-competitive technologies and supply to create a competitive advantage for our customers.
Responsibilities include:
- Chair/participate in project meetings and data gathering sessions
- Run weekly project meeting, prepare reports, schedule other reports as requested
- Document and track status of Design/Execution and Quality progress, communicating with Customer/Staff/Trades
- Work closely with Engineering in preparing project specifications, drawings, project estimates and any other pertinent information for issuance
- Support project commissioning process
- Review project drawings for accuracy, report all errors to NXP
- Prepare packages for submittal to the City of Austin for permitting
- Work closely with Trades and/or Contractor to ensure construction proceed without impact to ongoing manufacturing, Operations and Business Units
- Additional benefit if PC could establish/set-up project financial proposals in SAP
- Project Quality Control.
Specific Knowledge / Skills Required:
- Pursuing a degree in Construction Science / Construction Management / Project Management from an accredited institution
- Ability to function effectively with peers
- Root cause problem solving skills
- Project Management software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills with preferred knowledge or capacity to learn Visual Basic
