Engineering Intern

May - August 2019 • Kankakee, IL

What I liked

I really enjoyed the organizational culture at CSL Behring. It was very cooperative. I had the chance to work with multiple sections with the Fractionation department each bringing their specific skill set into productive meetings to tackle problems head on and plan on how to prevent them from occurring in the future. The tasks I were given were reasonable and had a clear impact on the department.

What I wish was different

I would have like a more technically difficult project but the ones I were assigned need to be completed ASAP so it was a trade off I was fine with.

Advice

There are a lot of people you will have access to who are not in your immediate department or that you don't have a direct contact with , it is important to reach out to them and see what you can learn.

R&D Process Development Intern

May - August 2018 • Kankakee, IL

What I liked

The people I worked with were very helpful and welcoming. I also liked getting real world lab experience.

What I wish was different

I loved my internship, I don't have anything that I wish would have been different.

Advice

My advice is apply for internships early, and apply to as many as you are interested in. When you get the job, it is important to be nice to everyone and very attentive to detail so that they do not have to show you how to do things multiple times.
